Officers investigating a report of a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Purbeck are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
At around 12.15pm on Tuesday 13 June 2023 a collision occurred in Ferry Road in Studland, near to the chain ferry, involving a cyclist and a white or cream-coloured Mini that was believed to have been towing a boat or small caravan.
The cyclist – a man aged in his 30s – was reportedly struck by the item that was being towed, causing him to fall from his bike. He did not suffer any serious injuries.
It was reported that the Mini failed to stop at the scene.
Police Constable Rob Cook, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to make enquiries into this incident and are keen to identify the driver of the Mini involved so we can take their account.
“I would also like to speak to any witnesses or motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
