Poole Hospital Receives Top Award for Second Time

It's in recognition of their outstanding care and dedication to patients with myeloma, an incurable blood cancer

Poole Hospital wins national award for exceptional care in myeloma treatment, an incurable blood cancer claiming 3,000 lives yearly in the UK.


This is their second Myeloma UK CSEP Award, recognizing outstanding care provided every four years. Staff praised for improving patients’ lives, adapting to needs.


Myeloma UK acknowledges hospitals' commitment to raising treatment standards. Madeleine Hardy, Lead Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist, expresses gratitude for the team's dedication.


Patients benefit from the hospital's efforts, including community oncology nursing, counseling, and complementary therapies.


Justin Coldstream, diagnosed with myeloma in 2016, credits the hospital team for support during intensive treatment. Myeloma affects over 24,000 in the UK, with treatment focused on managing symptoms and improving quality of life.
